It’s likely the men were denizens of the Black Lodge, giving their aid to Evil Coop. Ray freaks out, takes the car, and leaves a message for Jeffries. After some light starts flashing, a group of incorporeal men show up and smear blood all over Coop. Evil Coop plans on getting the information Ray obtain and then kill him, but Ray was ready for him. Ray is unaware that Evil Coop already killed her.
